The VARK test is an assessment of how an individual likes to learn or easily retains information. A list of multi-choice questions were asked each designed to create a response that shows what kind of learning the individual prefers. The four choices and results were:
Visual: 7
Aural: 4
Read/Write: 3
Kinesthetic: 2
The VARK study indicated that I have a mild prefernce to Visual learning. I agree with this as it corrrolates with the techniques and methods I have used in the past to study and learn new things. Aural learning I find difficult as my attention wanders after a lond period of listening, and I find it extremely difficult to remember the things I heard, regardless of my level of attention or the amount of caffine consumed to enhance my awareness prior to the start of the session!
Reading and Writing are, of course, the tried and tested means of learning, and I am a keen reader of course and non-course material. However, when reading with the intent to retain information I have always found that a short time reading followed by disscussion, or even group reading with spontainious and relevent discussion is a far more effective way of remembering the information.
Kinesthetic learning, or the learning of information through actions and movement, is a fun and interesting way to learn, but I tend to become distracted and too interested in the actual movement and actions, not the information itself! This addmitted, Kinesthetic learning is a way of breaking and relaxing from my normal learning routine while still retaining some (though very little) information, which is probably the worst excuse to go play football instead of doing homework you will ever hear!

The charecter type ENTP is described by Myers Briggs as someone with lots of ideas, who sees posibilities and options available. They dont like procedure and routine, but will give their all to an impossible dream or concept to make it happen. Often artists or entertainers, they like public demonstrations to show their works fruition. This test is unsettlingly accurate in its description of my personality!

About Me
Hello to everyone concerned! my name (the clue is in the page title) is Richard Chesterton, I'm 23, and I was born in London.
I grew up in Braintree (that's the town that happens to be near Freeport Shopping Village. The town came first, though noone outside of Braintree knew it exsisted until Freeport was built) until May this year when I moved to Chelmsford.
Most of my life was spent on a baseball field, I've been playing for Essex since I could walk and Great Britain since I was 12. I've been all over the world touring and playing, and spent three years at Community College in New York State playing.
My studies were originally focused around English and History, but I became interested in computers while taking a course in New York. Now I'm taking Computing as a degree, who would have thought?
